Vehicle Description

Once in a while a really special car comes along that just seems to have that extra special meaning, a significance in the motoring world. This is one such car. A very limited edition Lotus Exige LF1 of which there were only ever 81 models produced and for world wide sales.

The LF1 (Lotus Formula 1) was a very limited edition model of the Lotus Exige 350 produced to commemorate the Formula 1 racing success of Lotus and it’s racing achievements, 81 in number, between 1960 and 2013, car number 81 celebrating Kimi Raikkonen’s win in the Australian Grand Prix.

The car which came in the special black/gold metallic paintwork with red trim to mirror the winning Lotus came with many upgrades to the standard car, a track focused aero pack with an enhanced front splitter, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. The engine is the renowned 3.5litre V6 engine with the Harrop supercharger producing some 345 bhp. A free flow exhaust with an exhaust bypass valve adds to the real character of this special car. The brakes too have been upgraded with two piece ventilated and cross drilled brake discs and a track tuned 4 channel anti lock braking system.

The interior has black leather seats with gold stitching and Lotus Formula 1 embossing and additional features over standard which includes heated seats and carbon fibre badging to commemorate that this car, number 10 of 81, was produced to celebrate Lotus’s success in the 1963 Dutch Grad Prix at Zandvoort.

The LF1 also came with a special package which includes a half size Roman Grosjean racing helmet, presentation boxes, key ring, USB stick and book.

This particular model has covered just over 11000 miles and is in first class condition.

It is a very special car and will be sought after by people looking for a piece of Lotus motoring history.
