2020 Morgan 3 Wheeler 110yrs Anniversary Edition in a lovely Morgan Green Metallic with a contrasting Yarwood Brooklands Honey Cross stitched leather interior.
Initially a design project for the founder of Morgan, Henry Frederick Stanley back in 1909 as a cyclecar, with just two forward gears an no reverse, the car didn’t even have a steering wheel, direction being controlled by a ’tiller’ as taken from the sailing world.
Jump forward 110 yrs and Morgan has added a few more creature comforts, and although essentially still maintaining the ‘character’ of this almost unique design has transformed the ‘idea’ into a desirable and collectable ‘head turner’ from this individual company in Malvern Links, Worcestershire.
What you do get today is a far more sophisticated mode of transport, a sumptuous crafted leather interior, a five speed gearbox with the addition of a reverse gear and a lovely ‘Wood Rimmed’ steering wheel etc.
Power comes from a V-Twin front mounted 1983cc,dry-sumped, fuel injected, engine producing 82bhp at 5250rpm giving it a power to weight ration of 159bhp per tonne, produced by American engine manufacturer S & S, the engine being know as the X-Wedge and mated to a Mazda MX5 gearbox.
Additions include an S&S ‘Stealth’ Air Filter Upgrade, Extra Soundproofing and a Tracker Device.
This is truly craftsmanship at it’s best, the almost individual design, hand built and finished to a very high standard and in beautiful condition with only 4000 miles from new, having been either serviced by Morgan Work Service or more locally at Krazy Horse, so a full Morgan history.
